German Classics in Hannover

With two very positive performances, Leonie and the Dutch bred gelding ORION (Jazz x Consul) had the sell out crowd cheering during the German Classics competition in Hannover.
Despite being the first pair to go in the Grand Prix on Saturday evening, they still managed to place sixth and qualify for the Kur the next day.
In the Kur on Sunday morning Leonie and Orion were all go having acclimatized themselves to the busy arena the evening before. With strong piaffe and passge sections and highlights in the canter work playfully supported by detailed music, any doubts in the judges minds disappeared. The fantastic crowd went wild and Leonie and Orion were rewarded with a score of 73,55% and third place, only 0,3% behind the second place finisher.

Under this link you can see Leonie with ORION in the Kur.

A big thankyou from us to Ohelia and Gerald Wassmann (Contact: www.licht-zeit.de) for all their help with the making of our Kur music. Good job guys !!!

A further highlight during the German Classics was the performance of Team Hannover South, of which Leonie has been a member of for many years now. Together with Wolfhard Witte , RASCALINIO, Iris Scheminowski HANS IM GLUCK and Thomas Schultz RUBIANUS, Leonie and DACCORD took first place with their excellent team Kur achieving 85,5 %.

Visiting friends "down under"

Directly after the successful days of the German Classics, Leonie left for a visit to catch up with contacts in Australia and New Zealand.
Leonie was most impressed with development of the now six year old stallion DORINGCOURT (by Dressage Royal) who under Andrea Bank continues to ripen into a talented dressage horse. This well matched pair have now taken wins in Medium level and show definate signs that the FEI level are not far off!
Our own home bred WOODSBEE (by Wolkentanz II) with Kylie Baker is not far behind and has also been competing successfully.
