WM dream out for DONNA ANTONIA

The month of June got off to a "nightmare" start. Having won the Bundeschampionate qualifier in Duisurg Hamborn (8.7), winning the Elementary in Stadthagen (8.8) and taking second place in the Bundeschampionate quali in Isernhagen (8,5) DONNA ANTONIA (v. Don Frederico) and Leonie had their ticket for the Young Horse WM start in Verden. Two days later while on holiday at her owners farm, DONNA ANTONIA was severly injured in a paddock accident. A six month rehabilitation means the end of the WM dream and no chance for a Bundeschampionate start. We keep our fingers crossed that this outstanding mare makes a full recoverey and hope she will eventually be able to continue the competition career that began so promisingly.

Leonie and AURIC'S MARCHENPRINZ win Regional Championships

After having won the Regional Championships 2003 (Deichgraf), 2004 and 2005 (Boticello), this years win came as a surprize with AURIC'S MARCHENPRINZ. Leonie's experienced advanced horse, SHOWTIME, had to pass due to a fever. Leonie started the 7 year old MARCHENPRINZ in the advanced medium where he won. On the final day they gave it their best shot in the advanced test and came 3rd giving them the over all Senior Championship.

That AURICS MARCHENPRINZ has come along in leaps and bounds was aparent the week before in Alvern where he was 2nd in the medium . The next day he had his first start in an advanced class where he placed 5th. In Isernhagen "Prinzi" and Leonie were again in the ribbons (6th and 8th) in the advanced tests against a large field of experienced competitors .

Youngsters continue being successful

After finishing 4th in the Novice in Alvern, our apprentice Lisbeth Müller-Stephan and the 5 year old Trakehner mare OXANA (v Stradivari) were a week later in Hulsen yet again 4th in the Novice and went on to a win in the Elementary . After these results OXANA has now qualified herself for the Trakehner German Champs in Hannover. Lisbeth and GONZO VA were also placed 2nd in Hulsen in the Novice and 4th in the Elementry.

In Stadthagen Leonie and GONZO VA took 3rd in the Novice and 4th in the Elementary. Leonie and HALBERSTATERS MARTIN (v.Matula) were the winners of the Medium test. In the Medium in Strohen Leonie was 2nd with D'ACCORD (v. De Niro) and 4th with HALBERSTATERS MARTIN. The third win in series for the 4 year old "super talent" DORINGCOURT (v. Dressage Royal) and Leonie in the Novice test in Alvern.

The winner of the 4 year old riding horse Championship in Isernhagen is our home bred WOODSBEE (v. Wolkentanz II) with Leonie on board. The charming chestnut gelding made a good impression and had a final score of 8.4 . The week before in Hulsen Astrid Smolinski and WOODSBEE were 4th in the Novice.

In Isernhagen Astrid Smoinski and HALBERSTATERS MARTIN were the winners of the Medium qualifier for the Sparkassen Amature Cup final. In Sottrum this pair was 2nd in the Medium test.

Leonie and the 6 year old ACANTO (v.Abanos) also had reason to party in Sottrum. Here they won the young horse Medium test in their second time out. In Isernhagen they placed 6th in the young horse Medium.

Our home bred HATARA (v His Highness - Longchamp) did a very good mare performance test in Uetze. With scores of 8's and 9's in gaits and rideability this lovely 3 year old black mare left a good impression. At the mare show in Adelheidsdorf HATARA took the 3 year old class win and went on to be Reserve Champion Mare of the show.
