Dressage competition at Weitrehm
The beautiful venue site Weitrehm in Meitze hosted it's first official competition with the classes being well filled and of a high standard. Leonie`s two starts also were successful. In the Prix st George she rode the Trakehner stallion TITIANO (by Munchhausen) to second place finishing just behind her student, Mayke Liebregts with Fellow (by Fabriano).
Leonie rode her second Münchhausen sprossling MÄRCHENPRINZ, in the well filled Grand Prix (19 starters) where they took a very respectable fifth place.
After such a brilliant debut we all hope that Family Prahl had as much fun as the riders and hopefully will be willing to host such an event again in the future! Bravo!
Foal arrivals 2014 - Triple
Despite the short nights between the 4 and 14 of April the results were worth it ! Within these ten days all three of our expected foals arrived safe and sound in to the world.
First arrival was the flashy cadenced Chestnut Colt by VAN VIVALDI out of our state premium DIVA (by Don Frederico-Wttinger-Bolero). This wonderful mare has produced eight healthy foals in eight breeding years, all of which have gone on to be successful in breeding and sport.
Next up was a bay Filly by the Oldenburg champion stallion 2013 FOLLOW ME out of our state premium RIHANNA (by Royal Classic-Don Frederico- Wittinger). We are very excited about this special little lady, a real heartbreaker from temperment and movement!
Last but not least an amazing black colt by KWPN champion stallion CHARMEUR out of our beautiful 2013 champion show mare, state premium SANJANA (by Soliman de Huis- Wolkentanz II-Don Gregory)
Prize Of The Best
Due to their consistant good results over the past months , Louisa Engelke and her pony Grenzehoe's Ivy, have been nominated to participate at the prestiges competition "Preis der Besten" in Warendorf 23-25 of May. The invitations are sent from the National German Pony trainer and go to the best pony riders from throughout Germany.
FURST FELLINI - Horse of the Year
Our Congratulations go out to Julie Brougham in New Zealand. One and a half years ago she purchased FURST FELLINI (Oldenburger by Faustinus-Cordial Medoc) from us and since then they haven't looked back once! Julie and this handsome black youngster took reserve champion Medium level and won the six year old championship.
To top things off at the Horse of the Year Show they took the medium championship! Well done Julie!!
