Dressurausbildungsstall Leonie Bramall und Volker Dusche

March 2004

Sadness and Joy lie close to one another

At midnight on the date of 3.3.2004 a beautiful colt foal by Belissimo arrived at Gestut Muhlenort. At 9 o`clock of that same morning Dornroschen (v. Don Gregory) proudly presented the new arrival to the first visitors.
Shortly there after began a massive drama. A sudden unexpected colic with a twisted gut and extreme gas build up forced an immediate trip to the clinic where despite intensive vetrinary help left us with no choice but to euthinise the mare.
A ray of hope was left to us in that we were fortunate, over the Hannoverian breeders club, to find a foster mother for our now very hungry foal. Here we wish to thank the clinic Dr Kosuch and partner in Steyerberg for there round the clock persistence in bringing Mama and baby together despite difficulties in the first days. One week later we were able to bring the now inseperable pair home to Muhlenort where this newly formed "family" now enjoys the first rays of spring sunshine in the pasture.

CONNERY - Winner of the dressage stallions

Katrin and Hubertus Poll our neighbors at Gestut Hörem returned from the stallion competition in Denmark with top honors!
With the Trakener stallion CONNERY (v. Buddenbrock) Katrin Poll once again presented his excellent dressage qualities and top movement where he was crowned with the championship title.

Success for the youngsters first starts Succsess for the young dressage horses in Wolfsburg. Leonie Bramall and the steel gray gelding RHODIUM (v. Royal Diamond- Calypo II) came out as the winners ahead of 35 other youngsters in a test for 5 and 6 year olds with a score of 85% . Half an hour later in the next test the luck held on with a well earned second placing. In the same test ALTEFELDS RAVENNA (v. Rühmann) was able to hold her own and placed 4th. To round things up WILD DANCE placed third in the Medium test from a field of 30 starters. All in all a good start for the upcoming season!
