Regional Championships in Hildesheim

Our stable had a super weekend at the Regional championships in Hildesheim. Four year old Hindenburg was first out with Astrid Smolinski in the young horse Novice test. The big black His Highness son took a clear win with a score of 8.3.

Next in line for gold was the 8 year old MARCHENPRINZ (Munchhausen) with Leonie. This combination won the first section of advanced medium with 70.89% and then also the Prix st George with 69.67%.

As Championship horse Leonie brought Trakehner stallion SHOWTIME (Polarpunkt) on the start. After a clear win in the second section of advanced medium with 70.38% they took second place in the Prix st George (1 point behind Marchenprinz) with 69.58%. In the final 2 star advanced test SHOWTIME had a super go winning the class with 69% . This meant the over all Senior 2008 Championship for Leonie. This was her 5th title, 2003 (Deichgraf), 2004 and 2005 (Boticello) and 2007 (Marchenprinz).

Successful come back for DONNA ANTONIA

A fantastic tes, a fantastic score! DONNA ANTONIA (Don Frederico) returned to the show ring with Leonie in Essel after an 11 month injury pause. The elegant black mare proved she hadn`t forgotten a thing and was rewarded with a score of 9.0!
A second win at the show in Nienhagen proved this pair is serious business!

Misscelanious

Two further placings for Leonie in Preussish- Strohen, 2nd with SHOWTIME and 3rd with DÁCCORD in the Advanced Medium. A week later in Nienhagen, Leonie again took 2nd place in the Advanced Medium, this time with DÁCCORD. The 8 year old De Niro son`s debut at the advanced level also went well where he again finished an excellent 2nd place.
Further ribbons for Leonie with HALBERSTERS MARTIN, 5th in Advanced Medium and ATHENA RUBELLA 2nd in Elementary.

Show debut for Lisbeth and the 4 year old Stedinger daughter SHIRA MAREEN, 6th place in the riding horse class in Essel. Lisi also rode BENTLY (Belissimo) to 5th place in the young horse Novice test.

In the Medium classes, WONDER WOMAN (Weltmeyer) and Astrid Smolinski came home with 2 fifth place finish.

To round things off at the competition in Alvern Leonie came home with 6 ribbons from 6 starts. Here the Hannoverian DÁCCORD won 3 classes. The Medium, Advanced Medium and to top things off his first Advanced test! Leonie`s second mount HALBERSTETERS MARTIN placed 3rd in Medium, 4th in Advanced medium and 3rd in the Advanced class.
A very successful weekend!

Competiton in Isernhagen

Our stable had another successful 4 days at the big show in Isernhagen. Leonie started with DONNA ANTONIA, 3rd in the Young horse Elementry and with SHIRA MAREEN in the 4 year old riding horse class where they placed 2nd. Once again in top form, the Trakehner stallion SHOWTIME placed 2nd in the first section of the advanced class qualifiying for the Prix st George. Here Leonie and SHOWTIME pulled out all the stops taking home first place. The 8 year old MARCHENPRINZ placed 8th in Prix st Georges and 7th in the Prix st George Special.

Our Dressage Workshop on Friday evening in Isernhagen was a huge success. Approximately 600 people turned up to watch Leonie explain and demonstrate her ideas regarding training of young horses through to Grand prix.

The Land Gestut Celle was very helpful providing FURST NYMPFENBURG; LONDONTIME and RASCALINO as demonstration horses along with rider OSM Wolfhardt Witte. From our own stable we had the 3 year old SAN SERANO and the 4 year old HINDENBURG. To top things off Heike Kemmer and ROYAL RUBIN demonstrated the Grand Prix adding a special flair to an interesting and informative evening.
